Ford Motor Company will shortly begin testing of their fully autonomous vehicles on a closed course near Detroit, Michigan. Verizon is now bringing back a $20 dollar activation fee. The fee only applies to their no-contract plans. Global News: Tumblr now allows users to instant message friends and followers. Instant messaging is new to Tumblr. The Mozilla Firefox browser is now available on iOS after a year of waiting. Facebook is now testing disappearing messages. They act similar to Snapchat messages. A man that went missing 10 years ago in the UK has been found using the power of Google Maps. The man's car can be seen at the bottom of a pond on the satellite view of Google Maps. An image will be posted on the "News Images" page on our website. Apple has announced that it will be shutting down one of its music streaming service, Beats Music. They encourage current users of the service to transfer over to Apple Music. Beats Music will shut down on the 30th of this month. T-Moblie has announced that it will be offering an app called Binge On, which allows you to stream content from a list of sites without using your high speed data. A list of sites will be posted in the Google Doc below. NASA has made a new discovery about one of Mars's moons, Phobos. They are now discovering that the moon will most likely break apart rather than striking Mars as previously predicted due to debris from the Martian surface striking the moon and destroying it. Global News: Google has announced that in less than two months, it will stop all Chrome updates for Windows Vista and XP. Legislators in the United Kingdom want to ban end-to-end encryption. Experts say that the measure is impossible, as encryption can take place on almost any electronic device. Android users are now able to download areas from Google Maps, in order to be able to navigate when out of cell phone range and/or when the user wants to save on their data. |
