Apple's CEO Tim Cook told the NSA that Apple will not be giving the NSA a "backdoor" to secure user files and went on to say that encryption is a must.
On November 7th, subscribers to the New York Times will be receiving a free Google Cardboard VR set with their newspaper.
You may have heard that the CIA director's email was hacked. Well the people responsible said publically the process that they used to get into the AOL account. They claimed to be live chat support people from Verizon when they called the ISP and said that they were having some trouble with the customer lockup tools. In doing so they got the director's social security number. They then used that number when calling AOL to get a password reset on his account. That's it. That's all it took to get in to a top ranking officials email account.

Consumer Reports have stopped recommending the Tesla Model S after a series of customer complaints involving strange noises, bad motors, and/or issues with the doors being reported.
Google is requiring mandatory encryption on the next version of Android OS, Marshmallow. The only exception to the mandate is for phones that are too weak to encrypt files.
